Aberthaw has been involved in Walmart’s ongoing building program since 2009. Aberthaw has been awarded a total of eighteen projects over the last eight years.The scope of work on individual projects has ranged from remodels to major grocery expansions to new locations, with contracts ranging from roughly $500,000 to nearly $14 Million.

Walmart projects are compliance intensive with regard to worker eligibility and environmental concerns at the federal, state, and local level, and each job requires a minimum of four Walmart certified personnel including two superintendents, one project manager and the compliance officer.  Additionally, most projects are driven by either new or expanded grocery elements, requiring very close coordination with store planning for the installation of all new refrigeration and energy management systems.
