Cromwell, Conn.: Aberthaw has completed its third major grocery expansion for Walmart in the past year, its second in Connecticut.
The completion of this project, which called for a new 60,000 sq. ft. addition specifically dedicated to grocery, comes less than a month after Aberthaw completed its second Walmart grocery expansion in Calais, Maine, and less than a year after its first Walmart grocery expansion in Naugatuck, Conn. The scope of work also involved multiple additions and the installation of two new entrances, as well gut rehabilitation of the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
Like Naugatuck and Calais before it, the Cromwell store remained fully operational during construction and also involved fit-up of in-store tenant spaces.
