Hudson, N.H.: Aberthaw today celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Comcast’s new call center located at 55 Executive Drive, which will add 100 new fulltime jobs by year’s end and which will be at full employment of 600 fulltime positions by early 2015.
The event drew federal and state dignitaries including U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen and N.H. Governor Maggie Hassan, along with Comcast officials Steve Hackley, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Greater Boston Region, and Matthew Cohen, Vice President of Customer Care for Comcast's Greater Boston Region. Also joining in the celebration were Sam Altreuter and John Power, principals of the Farley White Interests, which spearheaded the development effort, and James Alley, Sean Cashman, and Jeffrey Alley, principal owners of Aberthaw, which was charged with managing and performing the work of renovating the sprawling 127,000 sq. ft. complex.
The work of the project called for major renovations to the former Presstek building for conversion to a new state-of-the-art customer support center featuring best-in-class technologies, a full service cafeteria, wellness rooms and a fitness center. Additional improvements included site redevelopment for new and upgraded utilities, new roadways and landscaping, and expanded parking for 600 employees.
