Lowell, Mass.: Aberthaw has been awarded the contract for renovations and fit-up of the new state-of-the-art UML Open Innovation Hub + M2D2 Labs located at 110 Canal Street. The $4.2 million construction project calls for renovations and fit-up of approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of newly restored space on two floors at the historic Freudenberg Building, where Aberthaw recently performed 54,000 sq. ft. of core and shell restoration under its first contract with Trinity Financial.
This latest award will be Aberthaw’s fourth project for Trinity in less than two years; the others include the Enterprise Building Rehabilitation in Brockton, Mass., fit-up of three floors for the tenants DCAMM & EHS at the Enterprise Building, and 110 Canal.
The tenant at the newly awarded UML Open Innovation Hub + M2D2 Labs is UMass Lowell, which is continuing to expand its outreach to bring entrepreneurial technology leadership to its main and satellite campuses throughout the city.
