JAMES W. ALLEY – PRESIDENT 

Now in his forty-fifth year with Aberthaw Construction Company, Mr. Alley's accomplishments span a broad range of experience and an increasing level of expertise as he progressed through the company to his current position of President. In 1991, he became the sole owner of Aberthaw Construction Company, Inc., overseeing overall corporate management and operations including fiscal controls, client relations, contract negotiations, project management and quality assurance.

Prior to acquiring Aberthaw in 1991, Jim held positions as Assistant Office Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, Regional Vice President, Vice President of Operations and eventually President. During his tenure, Mr. Alley was directly involved in projects including commercial office, (single-story to 38-story high rise), retail development malls, special purpose projects for R&D, parking garages, warehouse buildings up to 600,000 square feet, institutional, industrial, corporate renovation work and tenant fit-ups of all sizes.

Jim’s vision of a smaller Aberthaw borrowing all of the good qualities from the much larger organization has been realized and, as the company’s clients and their consultants will attest, he has successfully built upon the structure, professionalism and reputation that have set Aberthaw apart for well over 100 years.

SEAN P. CASHMAN – VICE PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATING & PRECONSTRUCTION 

Mr. Cashman joined Aberthaw Construction Company in 1994. As Vice President, he is responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimating including conceptual estimates, GMP budgets, value engineering and various cost analyses. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the bidding process and managing key projects.

Prior to this position, Sean held the positions of Chief Estimator, Estimator, and Junior Estimator, where he gained immeasurable experience allowing him to progress to his current position.

Sean has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry as a Structural Engineer, Field Engineer, Cost Estimator, and Project Manager, where his focus and experience include new construction for commercial buildings, tenant fit-ups and renovations, industrial facilities, restaurants, retail, recreational facilities, religious facilities, educational and healthcare facilities.

Sean’s attention to detail and familiarity with construction techniques, materials, and applications is an invaluable asset not only to Aberthaw, but also to the company’s clients and their consultants. He works closely with clients and their design professionals, providing them with budgeting information, value engineering, and scheduling data. This process typically continues throughout the various stages of design, engineering and construction, and Sean’s participation begins with conceptual planning and continues through final completion.

JEFFREY P. ALLEY – VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT MANAGER 

 Mr. Alley joined Aberthaw Construction Company in 1991. His focus is primarily on the management of multimillion dollar construction projects with specific responsibilities including coordinating and managing the direction and daily supervision of field and office staff, as well as daily communication with owners, architects, building officials and subcontractors.  Jeff’s expertise spans subcontractor negotiations, managing construction schedules, estimating, processing owner's change orders, budget analysis, and conducting weekly meetings with owners, architects and subcontractors.

DAVID KATES – CORPORATE CONTROLLER 

Mr. Kates joined Aberthaw Construction Co. in 2017. David comes to Aberthaw with over twenty years of accounting, auditing, tax, and business management experience. As the Corporate Controller for the company’s financial and accounting operations, he manages all accounting functions, project budgets, and financial controls. David’s  role is responsible not only for the accounting operations of the company, but also include financial reporting, budgets,  bonding, tax and insurance compliance. All of this comes together to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with accounting reporting standards.

MARK KLOVE – SENIOR ESTIMATOR 

Mr. Klove joined Aberthaw Construction Company in 2014. Mark is an accomplished Estimator with over 30 years of experience with lump sum and GMP projects as well as preconstruction services. As Senior Estimator, Mark is responsible for analyzing contract documents to determine construction costs and soliciting bids from subcontractors. Mark strives to maintain open subcontractor communication across all trades during the bidding process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with the scope of all work.

Mark has managed multiple ground-up construction and renovations projects, ranging in size from $30K to $25M.  In addition, he was the vice chair of his towns School Building Committee overseeing the construction of a new Middle school and renovation of two Elementary schools and the High school.
